UK CDR Finance Leadership Workshop

15:45–17:00 | Tuesday, 12 May 2026 | Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge

Convened by Bridge Institute and cKinetics, this focused workshop will bring together leaders from finance, professional services, policy, industry, and academia to examine what it will take to scale high-integrity Carbon Dioxide Removal finance.

Overview

Meeting the ambition of the Paris Agreement will require not only reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but also removing and permanently storing large quantities of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

As Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) moves from ambition to implementation, finance, market infrastructure, professional services, and institutional leadership will be critical to scaling high-integrity CDR markets.

The meeting will be conducted under the Chatham House Rule, and a report capturing the outcomes of the workshop will be prepared and shared with participants.

OBJECTIVE

Define the finance architecture needed to scale credible CDR markets.

This workshop will bring together experts in financial and professional services with stakeholders from policy, industry, and academia to discuss how the UK can establish and maintain its position as a Global Centre of Excellence for Carbon Dioxide Removal Finance.

The discussion will also explore how the UK can help enable cross-border capital flows for scaling high-integrity CDR markets.
